How to Play
The game is built for 2 or more players and relies on physical movement and quick thinking.
The Setup: Choose a category (deck) from the available options. One player holds the phone against their forehead with the screen facing the other players.
Guessing: The other players act out, describe, or sing clues to help the person holding the phone guess the word on the screen.
Controls: Guessly uses the phone’s accelerometer for hands-free control:
Tilt Down: If you guess the word correctly, tilt the phone down to mark it as a "Correct" and move to the next word.
Tilt Up: If you are stuck and want to skip the word, tilt the phone up to "Pass."
Timed Rounds: Each round is timed. Once the timer runs out, the game displays a summary of your score and the words you guessed.
Know Your Audience: Tailor your clues to the person guessing. Use internal jokes or specific references if you know the guesser will understand them faster than a general description.
Keep it Brief: Since the rounds are timed, don’t get bogged down in a complex explanation for a single word. If the guesser isn't getting it within 5-10 seconds, it is often better to tilt up and "Pass" to reach a word they might know instantly.
Use Non-Verbal Clues First: Even if the category allows speaking, physical gestures are often processed faster than long sentences. Combine a quick gesture with a one-word hint for maximum speed.
Category Selection: If you are playing with a diverse age group, choose "General" or "Acting" categories. Save niche decks like "Movies" or "Video Games" for groups you know share those specific interests to avoid frequent passes.
