1. Description
Heads Up! is a hilarious and fast-paced word-guessing game where one player holds their phone to their forehead, displaying a hidden word or name. Using clues shouted out by friends, the player must guess as many names as possible before the timer runs out. The game covers a massive range of categories, from celebrities and movies to singing and silly accents.
Diverse Deck Categories: Choose from dozens of themed decks like "Celebrities," "Movies," "Animals," "Accents," and "Characters."
Video Highlights: The game uses the front-facing camera to record your friends giving clues, allowing you to save and share the funny videos afterward.
Custom Decks: Ability to create personalized decks with inside jokes or specific themes.
Themed Collections: Regularly updated decks featuring seasonal content or collaborations (e.g., Disney, Marvel, or Harry Potter).
Multiplayer Focus: Designed for two players or a large group at a party.
The Setup: Select a deck and press "Start." Place the phone on your forehead with the screen facing your friends.
The Goal: Guess the word on the screen based on your friends' clues (acting, singing, or describing).
Controls (Motion-Based):
Correct Guess: Tilt the phone down to mark it as correct and move to the next word.
Pass: Tilt the phone up to skip the word if you are stuck.
The Timer: You have 60 seconds to clear as many cards as possible.
Rapid-Fire Skips: If you don't recognize a name within 3–5 seconds, tilt up to pass. It’s better to get three easy words than waste 40 seconds on one hard one.
Categorize Clues: Friends should start by giving a category (e.g., "He's an actor!" or "It's a fruit!") before giving specific details.
Use Your "Tell": Since the game records video, encourage friends to be as physical and loud as possible—this often makes the clues easier to interpret under pressure.
Know Your Audience: Choose decks that match the knowledge base of the group. Don't pick "70s Music" if you're playing with teenagers.
Watch the Replay: Reviewing the video recording can help you see which types of clues you missed, improving your "mind-meld" with your friends for the next round.
