Current State & Availability (2026)
Market Status: The game was officially delisted from major mobile app stores (Google Play and iOS) on October 6, 2025.
Where to Play: While the mobile app is no longer officially supported, a version remains playable on web platforms such as Poki.
Successor: SYBO Games recently shifted focus to Subway Surfers City, the official 3D sequel to the original runner, which launched globally in February 2026.
The "Blast" Loop: Instead of swapping tiles (like in Candy Crush), you simply tap groups of two or more adjacent blocks of the same color to "blast" them and clear objectives.
Character Powers: You play as the core crew (Jake, Yutani, Fresh, and Tricky).
Familiar Boosters: Iconic items from the runner are reimagined as puzzle tools:
Super Sneakers: Stomp down and clear specific obstacles.
Pogo Stick: Clears an entire vertical column.
Hoverboard: Clears a full horizontal row.
Jetpack: Acts as a powerful board-wide clearer.
Build the Hangout: Completing levels earns you stars, which are used to restore and decorate the crew’s hangout spots, such as Skate Haven.
Team Synergy: The game features "Crews," allowing players to join teams, chat, share lives, and compete in team-based tournaments.
Offline Play: Like the original runner, it was designed to be fully functional without an internet connection, making it ideal for travel.
Developer: Outplay Entertainment Ltd.
Publisher: SYBO Games.
Visual Style: High-energy 3D animations and "street art" inspired UI that perfectly mirrors the aesthetic of the main franchise.
While the "Blast" era on mobile has concluded, it remains a notable spin-off for fans who enjoy the characters but prefer the slower, tactical pace of a puzzle game over the high-speed chase of the tracks.
