1. Description
Set in late 16th-century Japan, the game follows a young commander on a quest for revenge across a war-torn landscape. Unlike the large-scale open maps of the PC franchise, this title uses a unique hex-based "lane" system. Players must manage resources, build structures, and deploy units in real-time to overcome enemy fortifications and rival clans in a series of tightly scripted tactical encounters.
Hex-Based Combat: A specialized battlefield system that emphasizes positioning and the "unit-counter" mechanic.
Deep Campaign Mode: Features 20+ story missions following a central narrative, plus hidden side-missions and unlockables.
Building & Economy: Manage your base in real-time by constructing dojos, granaries, and workshops to fund and train your army.
Tactical Unit Variety: Command diverse troops including Samurai, Ashigaru spearmen, bowmen, and heavy cavalry.
Experience System: Units gain experience through combat, allowing you to upgrade their stats and abilities between missions.
Mini-Games: Features "Bushido" challenges that test your tactical speed and reward you with experience points and resources.
Resource Management: Construction requires Gold and Wood. Build your base efficiently on the left side of the map to ensure a steady stream of resources for reinforcements.
Deploying Troops: Tap a production building (like a Barracks) and select a unit. You then place them on a specific hex row; they will advance forward automatically to engage the enemy.
Orders: While units move on their own, you can issue specific orders such as "Hold Ground," "Charge," or "Withdraw" to react to changing battlefield conditions.
The "General" Unit: Your leader provides a passive morale boost to nearby troops. If your General's health falls to zero, you lose the mission.
The Tactical Triangle: Always follow the unit counters: Spearmen beat Cavalry, Cavalry beat Archers, and Archers excel at softening up Infantry from a distance.
Don't Block Your Path: Units cannot move through each other. Be careful not to deploy slow-moving infantry in front of your fast cavalry, or your shock troops will be stuck behind the front line.
Maximize Building Synergies: Place your resource-generating buildings (like Farms) in protected areas. Some buildings provide bonuses to adjacent hexes; plan your base layout to maximize these efficiency boosts.
Use the "Withdraw" Command: If a unit is about to be wiped out, use the withdraw order. Retreating allows the unit to heal and preserves the experience they’ve gained, which is often more valuable than a new recruit.
Upgrade Wisely: Focus your early-game upgrades on your core Ashigaru units. They are the cheapest to deploy and will make up the bulk of your army in almost every mission.
