Join Jenni the Genie and her fox companion, Trix, as they journey through an enchanted world to recover palace treasures stolen by a band of thieves. Unlike traditional match-three games that focus solely on score, Genies & Gems often requires players to clear a path through obstacles to help Trix reach the treasure at the end of the level. The game features hundreds of levels set in diverse environments like the Gilded Gardens and the Shipwreck Sea.

3. How to Play

• The Match-3 Mechanic: Swipe adjacent gems to create a line of three or more of the same color.

• Clearing the Path: In "Treasure Hunt" levels, matching gems next to Trix clears the way. You must get the fox to the treasure chest before you run out of moves.

• Special Gem Creation:

  • Match 4: Creates a "Gilded Butterfly" that flies to a target goal and clears a specific obstacle.

  • Match 5 in a Line: Creates a "Rainbow Gem" that clears all gems of one color from the board.

  • L or T Shape: Creates an explosive gem that clears a 3x3 radius.

• Objective Completion: Each level has a specific win condition, such as collecting a certain number of gold bars or clearing all the sand blocks.

4. How to Win: Strategy & Tips

• Focus on the Fox: In pathfinding levels, don't get distracted by big matches on the far side of the board. Only make matches that directly clear the path for Trix or create a power-up that will clear an obstacle in the fox's way.

• Use Butterflies Strategically: Butterflies are "smart" power-ups; they will automatically target the most relevant obstacle (like a block in Trix's path). If you have multiple butterflies, try to trigger them one at a time to ensure they don't target the same block twice.

• Conserve Your Moves: The difficulty spikes in later chapters. Always check the moves counter and prioritize "double-duty" matches—those that clear an obstacle and move Trix simultaneously.

• Bottom-Up Clearing: In levels where you need to clear sand or collect items, work from the bottom. This increases the chance of "cascades," where falling gems form new matches automatically.

• Combine Power-Ups: Swapping two special gems (like a Rainbow Gem and a Butterfly) is much more effective than using them separately. This can often clear half the board in a single move.
