1. Description
Brain Test 4 introduces the Tricky Club, a colorful group of characters including Tricky Lily and Astrodog. The game moves away from the linear stories of Brain Test 2 and 3, focusing instead on a massive collection of individual brain teasers that challenge your logic, IQ, and observation skills. It is designed to be a "brain workout" that relies heavily on subverting expectations—the most obvious answer is almost never the correct one.
The Tricky Club: A new character system where you unlock members by solving specific challenges.
Customization: Players can now customize characters and environments, adding a layer of personalization not seen in previous versions.
Back-to-Basics Formula: Returns to the core mechanic of single-screen "tricky puzzles" rather than long, connected RPG-style stories.
Humorous Interactions: Features funny dialogues and quirky animations when you fail or solve a puzzle in an unexpected way.
One-Handed Play: The UI is optimized for casual, vertical play, making it easy to play on the go.
Offline Support: Can be played entirely without a Wi-Fi or data connection.
Interaction is Key: You aren't just looking for a button. You may need to drag items, rub the screen to "erase" things, shake your device, or even flip it upside down.
Follow the Instructions (Carefully): The text at the top is often a literal clue. Sometimes, the solution involves interacting with the words in the prompt itself.
Unlock Characters: Progress through levels to bring new members into the Tricky Club. Each character often has their own "theme" or type of puzzle logic.
Inventory & Environment: Look for items that look out of place. You can often combine objects on the screen to create a solution.
Question Everything: If a puzzle asks you to "find the largest fruit," it might not be the largest drawing on the screen; it might be the largest fruit in real life, or the word "fruit" in the sentence.
Use the "Shake and Tilt": If you are stuck, try physically moving your phone. Many puzzles react to the accelerometer (e.g., making something fall off a shelf by tilting).
Don't Waste Bulbs: Lightbulbs are the in-game currency for hints. Save them for levels with multiple steps, as some puzzles have "fake" solutions that lead to a second, even trickier part.
Multi-Touch: Some levels require you to hold one item in place while moving another with a different finger.
Watch the Environment: Background details that look like "decor" are often interactive. Try tapping the sun, clouds, or items on a character's desk.
