In this version of Mahjong Solitaire, players must clear the board by matching pairs of identical tiles. Unlike traditional four-player Mahjong, this is a single-player logic puzzle. The game features hundreds of unique board layouts, ranging from traditional "turtle" formations to complex geometric patterns. As of April 2026, the app has been optimized for the latest iOS features, offering a seamless experience for both quick sessions and long-term play.
Classic & Modern Layouts: Hundreds of levels with varying difficulty levels to keep the gameplay fresh.
High-Definition Graphics: Beautifully rendered tile sets, including traditional Chinese characters, floral designs, and seasonal themes.
Smart Tools: Includes an "Undo" feature for correcting mistakes and a "Hint" system for when you are stuck.
Shuffle Mechanic: If no moves are available, the game can shuffle the remaining tiles so you can continue the level without restarting.
Daily Challenges: Unique puzzles released every 24 hours that offer special rewards and trophies.
Customizable Aesthetics: Players can unlock different backgrounds and tile skins to personalize their playing environment.
The Objective: Clear the entire board by selecting pairs of matching tiles.
The "Free Tile" Rule: You can only select a tile if it is "free." A tile is considered free if it is not covered by another tile and has at least one side (left or right) completely open.
Matching: Tap two identical free tiles to remove them from the board.
Special Tiles: Look out for "Flower" and "Season" tiles. Unlike standard tiles, these can be matched with any other tile in their respective group (e.g., any Flower tile matches with any other Flower tile).
Work from the Top Down: Focus on clearing the tiles that are stacked highest first. Removing these "peaks" usually reveals more tiles underneath, giving you more options early in the game.
Prioritize Long Rows: If you have multiple matching options, choose the ones that free up long horizontal rows. This is where most hidden tiles are located.
Don't Match Every Pair Immediately: Before making a move, look at the board to see if that pair is blocking other tiles. Sometimes it is better to leave a pair on the board until you need to clear the tiles behind or beneath it.
Keep the Board Balanced: Try to remove tiles from both the left and right sides of the layout evenly. This prevents you from being left with a "locked" vertical column at the end of the game.
Save the Shuffle: Use your shuffle power-up as a last resort. It is often better to use "Undo" first to see if a different set of matches would have kept the board open.
