How to Play

1. Movement: Move your pawns diagonally onto adjacent available dark squares.

2. Capturing: "Jump" over an opponent's piece to capture it. In most included rulesets, if a jump is available, it is mandatory to take it.

3. Crowning: Reach the opponent's baseline to "Crown" your pawn, turning it into a King.

4. Kings: Crowned pieces gain the ability to move both forward and backward diagonally.

5. Winning: The match ends when a player captures all of their opponent's pieces or blocks them so they have no legal moves left.

How to Win: Strategy & Tips

• The "Mandatory Jump" Strategy: Since jumping is mandatory, you can purposely sacrifice one of your pieces to force your opponent into a position where you can execute a double or triple jump on your next turn.

• Control the Center: Keeping your pieces toward the center of the board rather than the edges (especially in the opening) provides more movement options and better defensive coverage.

• Prioritize Crowning: A single King can often dominate several regular pawns. Aim to sneak a piece to the baseline early if the opponent leaves a lane open.

• Practice Against Bots: Use the offline mode to test specific openings or to understand the nuances of the 10x10 International board, which plays significantly differently than the 8x8 Classic board.

• Endgame Draws: If you find yourself in a 1v1 King situation where neither player can corner the other, the game will eventually trigger an "Automatic Draw" to save time.
