* **The "X" Strategy:** When placing your numbers, try to keep your most "connected" numbers (those that contribute to both a row, a column, and a diagonal) toward the center and the corners.

* **Counter-Calling:** In multiplayer, pay attention to which lines your opponent is likely trying to finish. If you can call a number that helps *your* line but is nowhere near *their* current clusters, you gain a massive advantage.

* **Central Dominance:** The center square is part of four possible lines (vertical, horizontal, and both diagonals). It is often the most valuable square on the board; try to use it early or save it as a "finisher."

* **Practice with Computer:** Use the "Play With Computer" mode to get a feel for how different number distributions affect your speed in completing lines.
