1. Description
Developed by Hardlight (SEGA), Sonic Jump shifts the gameplay focus to a vertical perspective. Players must tilt and tap their way through familiar environments like Green Hill Zone and Mountain Zone. The game features a structured Story Mode with specific level goals and an Infinite Arcade Mode for those seeking to test their endurance and climb as high as possible.
Story & Arcade Modes: Jump through 48 unique levels in the campaign or compete for the highest altitude in an endless climb.
Playable Characters: Start as Sonic and unlock his friends, including Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Silver, and Blaze.
Iconic Boss Battles: Reach the top of specific stages to engage in vertical showdowns with Dr. Eggman.
Power-Up Shop: Use collected rings to purchase magnets, shields, and "Blue Rings" that help you survive longer and reach higher tiers.
Stunning Environments: Features high-resolution 3D-rendered graphics inspired by the classic 2D levels of the franchise.
Character-Specific Abilities: Each character has unique traits, such as Tails' ability to hover or Knuckles' powerful upward punch.
Movement: Tilt your device left and right to guide your character toward platforms.
Jumping: The character jumps automatically upon touching a platform. Tap the screen to perform a "Double Jump," which provides extra height and allows you to attack enemies from below.
Defeating Enemies: Use the double jump to smash into enemies. Be careful not to hit them from above or the side unless you are in a spin-jump state.
Collecting Rings: Gather gold rings as you climb. These act as your currency for upgrades and provide a small safety net against hazards.
Master the Double Jump Timing: Don't use your second jump immediately. Wait until you reach the peak of your first jump to maximize the total height gained.
Prioritize the Ring Magnet: In the shop, upgrade the Ring Magnet first. This ensures you collect the maximum amount of currency per run without having to risk dangerous maneuvers to reach stray rings.
Watch for "Ghost" Platforms: In later levels, some platforms crumble or disappear shortly after you land on them. Always have a mental "next step" before you land on a moving or fragile platform.
Use Knuckles for Combat: If you find a specific boss or enemy-heavy level difficult, switch to Knuckles. His strength makes it easier to clear out obstacles that might otherwise knock you off the screen.
Bank Your Rings: Use "Ring Banks" (found in the store or as power-ups) to secure your progress. In Arcade mode, focusing on survival often leads to a higher score than focusing purely on speed.
