VR Zoo Simulator – Wild Animals is an immersive 360-degree educational and exploration experience developed by Vipera Games sp. z o.o. It is designed to work both with and without VR headsets, providing a close-up look at various animal species.
This simulator offers a virtual tour through different natural habitats, ranging from African savannas to dense jungles. The app focuses on realism and atmosphere, allowing players to observe wild animals—such as lions, elephants, giraffes, and crocodiles—in a 3D environment. It serves as both a relaxing exploration game and an educational tool for learning about wildlife behavior and environments.
VR & Non-VR Modes: Can be played using a mobile VR headset (like Google Cardboard) for full immersion or in "360 Mode" using the phone's gyroscope and touch controls.
Realistic Animal AI: Animals feature custom animations and behaviors to mimic their real-world counterparts.
Diverse Habitats: Multiple zones to explore, including desert, forest, and safari environments.
Educational Content: Includes facts and information about the different species encountered during the tour.
High-Quality Audio: Ambient sounds of nature and animal calls are used to enhance the "being there" feeling.
Movement: In VR mode, movement is often handled by "gaze-teleportation" (looking at a point on the ground to move there) or automatic walking paths. In standard mode, use the joystick or touch-and-drag to look around.
Observation: Simply approach animals to trigger animations. Some areas allow you to get incredibly close to predators or large mammals that would be dangerous in real life.
Navigation: Follow the paths or markers to move between different enclosures or geographical zones.
Information: Look for "Info" icons near animals to pop up a display with details about the species.
Explore Every Corner: Some of the rarest animals are tucked away in the far reaches of the habitats. Don't just stay on the main path.
Use Headphones: To get the full benefit of the "VR" experience, use headphones. The spatial audio helps you locate animals by their sounds before you see them.
Stay Still for Interaction: If you stay still near certain animals, they may approach the "camera" or perform specific idle animations that you won't see if you are constantly moving.
Check the Weather/Time Settings: If the app allows, toggling between day and night modes can reveal different animal behaviors and atmospheric lighting.
Calibrate Your Gyroscope: If the view starts "drifting" while you are playing in 360 mode, lay the phone flat on a level surface for a few seconds to recalibrate the sensors.
