How to Play

1. Throttle Control: Because of the heavy turbo focus, mashing the accelerator will often result in massive wheelspin or "snap oversteer." Gradually apply power as you exit corners.

2. Tuning Menu: Before a race, adjust your gear ratios, suspension stiffness, and—most importantly—your wastegate settings to find the right balance between top speed and acceleration.

3. The Boost Gauge: Keep an eye on your HUD's boost gauge. Driving constantly at peak boost will overheat your engine, leading to reduced performance or mechanical failure.

4. Drafting: Use the slipstream of opponents on long straights to save fuel and gain enough velocity to overtake before the braking zone.

Strategies for Success

• Manage the Turbo Lag: Learn the "spool-up" time of your specific car. In many older GT models, there is a delay between hitting the gas and the power kicking in. Start accelerating slightly before the apex of a turn to ensure the power is there when you straighten out.

• Brake in a Straight Line: The simulation physics are unforgiving. To avoid locking your tires or spinning out, complete the majority of your braking while the car is still pointed straight, then "trail brake" lightly as you turn into the corner.

• Intercooler Upgrades: If you find your car losing power toward the end of a long race, prioritize upgrading your Intercooler. This keeps the intake air cool and allows you to run higher boost pressures for longer periods.

• Tire Temperature Management: Don't get too aggressive in the first lap. Cold tires have significantly less grip. Take the first few turns cautiously to bring your tires up to their optimal operating temperature.

• Short-Shifting: In wet conditions, "short-shift" (shift to the next gear earlier than usual). This keeps the engine RPMs lower, reducing torque and helping you maintain traction on slippery surfaces.
