How to Play
The Mission System: The world is dotted with mission start markers. You must navigate to these glowing markers to initiate tasks like transport, rescue, or combat.
Variety of Craft: You aren't limited to a single plane. You can switch between light aircraft (like the Cessna), commercial airliners (Boeing 747), military fighters (F-18), and even helicopters or fast cars.
Weather and Physics: The game uses a volumetric 3D cloud system and dynamic weather. You will have to deal with turbulence and changing visibility conditions that affect how your plane handles.
Ground Exploration: Unlike traditional flight sims, you can land anywhere, get out of your vehicle, and walk or drive around the cities and natural landscapes.
Master the Emergency: The game simulates random aircraft failures, such as engine flameouts or landing gear malfunctions. Practice your "dead-stick" landings (landing without engine power) in the Free Flight mode so you are prepared when it happens during a high-stakes mission.
Combat Engagement: When flying military jets, use your radar to lock onto targets before firing rockets. In missions involving clearing blocked roads, use your aircraft's weaponry to destroy obstacles from a safe distance.
Fuel and Resource Management: Long-distance flights between international airports require monitoring your fuel gauges. Plan your route to include stopovers at smaller mountain landing strips if you are flying a craft with a smaller fuel tank.
Safe Landing Techniques: For heavy airliners like the 747, start your descent and reduce speed much earlier than you would with a fighter jet. Use your flaps to maintain lift at lower speeds to ensure a smooth touchdown without bouncing.
Use the HUD: The Head-Up Display provides critical data on your pitch, bank, and altitude. When flying through thick clouds or at night, rely entirely on your instruments (IFR - Instrument Flight Rules) to avoid "controlled flight into terrain."
Base Jumping for Fun: If you find a particularly high mountain or skyscraper, park your aircraft and try the base jumping mechanic. Use the paraglider or parachute to steer yourself toward specific landing targets on the ground for extra practice.
