Submersible Control: Use on-screen controls to manage your vessel's depth, speed, and heading. You must carefully monitor your oxygen levels and battery power, as these are consumed rapidly while submerged.
Stealth and Detection: Utilize sonar and the periscope to locate targets. You must stay silent to avoid detection by surface destroyers; the faster you move, the easier you are to track.
Combat Systems: Aim and fire torpedoes at enemy hulls. You must lead your shots based on the target's speed and distance. For surface threats, some vessels are equipped with a deck gun for direct engagement.
Mission Progression: Complete a series of objectives ranging from sinking specific cargo ships to escaping from a depth-charge ambush to unlock more advanced submarine models and upgrades.
Strategy Tips
Master Silent Running: When enemy destroyers are nearby, reduce your speed to the minimum and dive deep. "Silent Running" mode minimizes noise, making it much harder for enemy sonar to pin down your exact location.
Conserve Torpedoes: You have a limited supply of munitions. Don't fire at long-range or high-speed targets unless you have a clear shot. It is often better to wait for a target to turn and present its broadside (the side of the ship) to ensure a hit.
Use Thermal Layers: Deep water often has different temperature layers that can bounce sonar waves. If you are being hunted, diving below these layers can sometimes "hide" your submarine from surface detection even if you are moving.
Prioritize the Escorts: If you are caught in an engagement with a convoy, try to disable the escort ships (Destroyers) first if you have the advantage. Once the escorts are gone, the slower merchant ships are much easier targets to pick off at your leisure.
Surface Strategically: Only surface to recharge your batteries and replenish oxygen when you are certain the area is clear. Use the darkness of night or stormy weather as cover to minimize the risk of being spotted by aerial patrols.
