Gameplay Overview

• Dual-Protagonist System: The story is split between Grace Ashcroft, a tactical analyst, and the veteran Leon S. Kennedy. Their paths cross in a decaying Midwestern town that holds secrets tied to the original 1998 incident.

• Hybrid Perspectives: The game is designed to be fully playable in both First-Person (for high-tension, claustrophobic horror) and Third-Person (for classic over-the-shoulder action), allowing you to switch based on your preference.

• Survival & Puzzles: While combat is frequent, the game leans heavily into classic RE tropes: finding crests and keys, managing a limited inventory, and deciding which enemies are worth the ammo to kill and which are better left alone.

How to Play

1. Perspective Toggling: You can change the camera view in the settings. Third-person is generally better for situational awareness during Leon’s combat segments, while First-person heightens the atmosphere during Grace’s investigation phases.

2. Inventory Tetris: You have a limited grid-based inventory. You must rotate and arrange items (weapons, ammo, healing herbs, and puzzle items) to fit as much as possible.

3. Defensive Items: Both characters can find or craft one-time-use defensive items (like knives or flash grenades) that can be used to escape a zombie's grab without taking damage.

4. Save Rooms: Look for the signature typewriter or recording device. These rooms are safe zones where you can save your progress and access the "Item Box" to store excess gear.

Strategies for Success

• The "Leg-Shot" Tactic: To save ammo, shoot zombies in the knees to make them stumble or fall. Once they are down, you can either run past them or finish them off with a knife to save your bullets.

• Environmental Awareness: Scan every room for a red tint on the map. A room will stay red on your map until you have found every hidden item, ammo box, and file inside it. Once it turns blue, you know it's cleared.

• Leon’s Physical Combat: When Leon staggers an enemy with a headshot, move in close for a physical strike (like a kick or shove). These moves do high damage and can hit multiple enemies at once without using additional ammo.

• Grace’s Crafting Specialization: Grace can craft more diverse items than Leon, including specialized tactical gear. Prioritize her chemical resources for "Flash" or "Acid" rounds to deal with larger, unkillable threats that stalk her.

• Combine Your Herbs: Never use a single Green Herb if you can help it. Combining a Green Herb with a Red Herb multiplies the healing effect to a full health restoration, making your resources go much further.
