Core Gameplay & Mechanics
The Olympic Exclusion Zone: You are trapped behind a 300-meter wall in a zone filled with supernatural anomalies, radiation, and shifting terrain. Your goal is to scavenge for resources and find a way out.
Your Mobile Life Support: Your car is your only protection. You must manually maintain it—changing flat tires, fixing engine stalls, and repairing body panels. Every part of the car can be upgraded with "Zone-tech" to resist specific hazards like electricity or acid.
The Loop: You plan "runs" into the Zone from your garage (your home base). You explore for materials, dodge anomalies like "Abductors" (flying magnets that drag your car) or "Bunny" (static-charged creatures), and must initiate a "Gateway" to escape back to the garage before a massive localized storm closes in.
Diagnostic Gameplay: The car can develop "quirks"—strange mechanical behaviors caused by the Zone. For example, honking the horn might cause the trunk to pop open. You must use a diagnostic station in the garage to guess and fix these issues.
Optimized for Series X|S: The game supports high-resolution textures and enhanced lighting to capture the eerie, atmospheric fog and forest environments of the Exclusion Zone.
Haptic Immersion: The game emphasizes tactile interaction. You don't just press a button to start the car; you must look at the ignition, turn the key, shift into gear, and release the parking brake.
Smart Delivery: Supports cross-generation play within the Xbox ecosystem, ensuring the best version for your console.
As of April 2026, the game has seen several major content updates since its initial 2024 launch:
The "Drive Your Way" Update: Introduced highly requested difficulty presets, allowing players to customize the intensity of the survival mechanics (e.g., turning off car damage or making the storms more aggressive).
Photo Mode & Cosmetics: New paint jobs, decals, and "bobbleheads" for the dashboard have been added, alongside a robust photo mode to capture the Zone's haunting beauty.
Performance Patches: Recent 2025 and 2026 updates have significantly improved frame rate stability on the Series S and reduced loading times between the Garage and the Zone.
