### 🕹️ How to Play
The game follows a narrative-driven loop where your progress is tied to a central mystery involving the **Cursed Vaults** and your character's missing brother.
* **Energy-Based Actions:** Most tasks (classes, investigations, quests) require **Energy**. You tap on highlighted objects or people to spend energy and earn "Stars" to complete the task.
* **Attributes:** You have three core stats—**Courage** (green), **Empathy** (pink), and **Knowledge** (blue). You level these up through classes and story choices.
* **House Cup:** Your actions can earn or lose House Points. Winning the House Cup at the end of the year grants a large sum of Gems.
* **Friendships:** You can bond with characters like Rowan, Penny, and Bill through activities like "Meal with a Friend," "Gobstones," and "Butterbeer" in Hogsmeade.
* **Classes:** These are the primary way to earn Attributes and House Points. You can choose the duration (1, 3, or 8 hours).

### 🏆 Winning Strategy
To "win" in Hogwarts Mystery—meaning progressing efficiently without hitting difficult stat walls or spending real money—follow these strategies:
#### 1. The 8-Hour Class Rule
For pure efficiency in leveling **Attributes** and earning **House Points**, always choose the **8-hour classes**. They offer the best reward-to-energy ratio compared to shorter classes.
* *Tip:* Start an 8-hour class before you go to bed or work. Even if you don't finish it immediately, you can use your starting energy and let it recharge while you're away.
#### 2. Master "Tappies" (Free Energy)
The game hides free energy throughout the castle. These spots usually reset every 6–8 hours:
* **East Towers:** Tap the blank portrait near Charms.
* **West Towers:** Tap the fruit painting near the Prefect's bathroom.
* **Lower Floor West:** Tap the torch to the right of the Great Hall or the middle suit of armor.
* **Dungeons:** Tap the House Elf leaning against the wall.
* **Castle Grounds:** Tap the stick on the ground (Fang will fetch it).
#### 3. Strategic Dueling
Dueling uses a Rock-Paper-Scissors system: **Aggressive > Sneaky > Defensive > Aggressive**.
* **Damage over Time:** Spells like *Incendio* or *Bombarda* are powerful because they can cause burning or bleeding, dealing damage even on turns where you lose the RPS exchange.
* **Stuns:** Use spells that have a chance to stun (like *Expelliarmus* or *Stupefy*) to skip your opponent's turn.
#### 4. Attribute Management (Don't Rush the Story)
A common mistake is rushing through the main story chapters. If your Attributes are too low, you will be locked out of important dialogue choices or find duels impossible to win.
* **Stay ahead:** Try to keep your Attributes 1 or 2 levels higher than the "Recommended" level for your current chapter.
#### 5. Save Gems for Pets
While it's tempting to use Gems to finish a quest faster, the best long-term investment is **Pets**.
* Pets (Owl, Cat, Toad, Rat) live in your dorm room and act as permanent "tappies," giving you free energy every few hours for the rest of the game.
#### 6. Time-Limited Side Quests (TLSQs)
When a TLSQ pops up (like becoming an Animagus), drop everything and finish it. These usually have exclusive rewards and only appear at specific points in the story. Use your "Energy Tappies" specifically to push through these timed events.
