### Game Overview:

* **The Narrative:** After being abducted and infected with an Illithid parasite, you must find a way to remove the corruption before it transforms you into a Mind Flayer. Your choices determine whether you become a hero, a villain, or something in between.

* **Gameplay Mechanics:** Combat is turn-based, utilizing D&D 5e mechanics including dice rolls (d20), advantage/disadvantage, and deep environmental interaction (e.g., dousing surfaces in water to conduct electricity).

* **Character Creation:** You can create a fully custom character or play as one of the "Origin" characters (like Astarion, Shadowheart, or Gale) who have their own unique personal quests and backstories.

* **Platform Support:** Optimized for Xbox Series X|S. 

    * **Series X:** Offers a **Quality Mode** (1440p at 30 FPS) and a **Performance Mode** (1080p at 60 FPS).

    * **Series S:** Targets 1080p at 30 FPS. *Note: Split-screen co-op is not supported on the Series S due to hardware limitations.*

* **Cross-Save:** Supports Larian’s cross-save system, allowing you to carry your progress between Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC (requires a Larian account).

* **Multiplayer:** Supports online co-op for up to 4 players and local split-screen co-op for up to 2 players (Series X only).
